How can you be familiar
With a stranger
You recognize the face
But not the name
Hr said he gave you roses
But you remember broken pieces
And empty promises
He says to many words
And you know they are lies
He’s just a closed charm
Let him hang on your arm
But run as fast as you can
You’re in love with your emotions
Confused with half colored reactions
Fooled by a gentleman’s fashion
Drown you in black and white suits
Honey better pick up your boots
He’ll make you feel the fame
And then throw away your name
Make you feel expensively cheap
And lose your sleep
Love can leave us confused and in a mess. I like your description of love in the poem.
